Hope you all had a very happy thanksgiving...i am wonderful ..though a bit stuffed. After all the family craziness things have calmed down around here..and I am looking forward to going to Boston for the Sportsman of the year hosted by SPorts Illustrated that I won through online-sweepstakes.com..You must check out that site if you have any inclination towards sweeps. I love it!

Everyone is well ..the puppies are doing fantastically and I am plugging away at my presents...so far my wishlist has been revised..but most of the items are necessaries rather than crazy items...
Wishlist:
Bread Machine- Duncan has been looking at reviews for the best one.
Anything pink and fuzzy: socks, cashmere sweaters, scarves, etc..
New PS2 games: San andreas, spyro the dragon
Jewelry Box:: ordered a beautiful wood one from online this weekend.

Another weekend passed and it was a quiet one..although i am pleased that last night we installed tivo after several vcr breakdowns..so i will never miss a show again it seems..now i just have to figure out how to use it ..lol.

Tonight i am doing some holiday shopping and then preparing the recipes for thanksgiving..my mom is having it ..but i am making some pies and probably an appetizer. I also want to check out the new gym to figure out which one to join..as we are getting a new Gold's Gym as well.

As for the Blitzkrieg..its on hold again dure to scheduling conflicts...i will be talking to the director today...and the horror fest is on..so i look forward to that!!!

What a great weekend..I feel energized and ready for the winter. The snow was so beautiful coming down and we had out first fire in the fireplace for the winter. My sister came to visit and we spent the weekend catching up.

December brings many great projects: The producer's reading for Blitzkrieg(the new musical I will be starring in) and a screening of a new horror short: Alpha Dead.

Here is all the info for the screening ( I got this as an email). Should be pretty fun.
This email may seem a tad early, but I know many of you are busy busy people, and I wanted to give fair warning about this event.

On Saturday, December 11th, at the Bellmore Theater on Long Island (222 Petite Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710), there is going to be a midnight screening of "Alpha Dead." For those of you who don't know, "Alpha Dead" is a 20 minute zombie/sorority house/sex romp, filled with blood, beer, boobs and (in my humble opinion) the greatest zombie bj ever captured on film.

We're making a big event out of this whole deal, and showing other great horror shorts (including the Biblical zombie epic "Beaster"), as well as some old school trailers, and some new school trailers for future Cult Hero Productions projects.

For those of you city-folks, we may have another screening at the Two Boots Cinema after this Long Island kick-off.

For those of you Long Island-folks, I suggest you join, for it will be a darn good time. Oh yes, and tell friends. And friends of friends. And just anyone you happen to run into on the street.

ok..so i have a bit of an addiction..its not alcohol or drugs and for all of you skeptics out there..its not my shoe addiction either..its sweepstakes..i know what you are thinking..a colossal waste of time..but no..since i won the Jane event..I found this fab-u website: online sweepstakes. I have been entering for a Jag and several travel contests every day..and its fun.

Ok..catching up with everything would make this too long and too boring..so first things first.

Miami-
Got there last Thurs early in the am..flight was slightly delayed ..but still made good time. Checked in and had a cuban lunch. Miss the fabulous restaurant in Hoboken , La Isla, where they had amazing Cuban food. Love those tostones.

Thurs evening met up with the Jane ladies at Prive at the Opium Garden (a south beach hot spot) and they were gracious and fun. There were stylists hired to use the Garnier products and fix everyone's hair(made mine a big fro..have some photos and will add them later). Plus photographer from the South Beach Mag: Ocean Drive ..told us we would be in the mag a couple of months from now or so.

The place didnt really pick up until late...so the contest was small..but there were some good dancers..it was fun through and through and the Jane ladies (Linda and Karen) made sure I had drinks and a fun time (open bar wehh eeee).

Fri-
Spent the day at the beach and the pool..the Loews has a lovely pool area ..we sat up near the hot tub (less kids). Had drinks and lunch in town...then out for sushi for dinner..went to Nobu..but was too crazy busy so found another fabulous sushi place. Checked out the hotels ,...for a funky lounge type place to chill.

Sat-
our flight didnt leave until the afternoon so we had more time for some shopping and reading on the beach..fun and relaxing..
then back to reality..when we got back it wasnt so cold..but now its freezing..thank god i pulled the herbs in before it froze.

Hello-
well it has been a long time since i posted..but for good reason..I have been super duper busy. Since i posted mr dummy head Bush has been voted back into office..and I have been to Miami and back for the Garnier and Jane sweepstakes. It was wonderful..I was flown in and put up at the Loews Hotel on the beach...and then attended a private dance party at Prive at the Opium Garden..so pretty. We had tapas, and seafood and sushi..oh my. I even got a little shopping in and got some presents for the dogs.

Yesterday, I went to the vet with Chai and Ginger and Chai has to be put on a special diet she is a pound overweight..of course Ginger can eat more..lol.

The rehearsals for Blitzkrieg (the play) are starting soon and I have a 2nd producer's reading coming up the first week of Dec.

I am busy with mailings and copying my voiceover cd..I will be sending copies out to all of the radio stations in the area.

Boo hoo I am home sicky with a runny nose and achiness all over...I dont know if it was being outside for too long with a coat at the wedding this weekend,..or just running around until I wore down my resistance..but today I am home with the puppies..love them so! Blech to the cold ..I will have to entertain myself by surfing the web...Z

Today I spent the day with my mom antiquing in Hudson, Ny. The trees were so beautiful on the way ..and even though it was brisk out..it was a wonderful day. We went for Mexican for lunch..yum...and I even found an antique marble topped dresser type thingee for the kitchen..so cute. Apparently, Kevin Spacey was shopping and had lunch at a cafe..a little birdee told me. HEEe..tonight I took photos of the puppies in their Halloween costumes..and I will be adding a link to their photo album on here soon. Hope all is well out there...Z

Eye wish I could see you...but

Well yesterday was harrowing to say the least..on Wed night , when I took my contacts out..my eyes were red..and teary but I didnt think anything was unusual..then I woke up in the city Thurs am and I could barely focus my left eye through the pain, puffiness and redness...by the time I was on the train heading towards home..I wanted to scream from the pain..it felt like a small piece of glass was stuck under my eyelid..and it hurt horribly. I called Duncan at work and he picked me up halfway )on the train line) and drove me to the eye doctors for an emergency appt. The dr said I must have had a tiny piece of dirt under my contact and when I slid it off, I cut my eye...so he numbed the pain and gave me a prescription for eye drops (boy do they work)..these are special drops that are medicine for the eye..and this morning I can see the screen of my computer to write..(isnt that nice?? :))
Today I am going to rest it..and not wear my contacts or mascara until the wedding on Sun upstate. Stay well and enjoy the autumn...Z
